A Standardized Ashwagandha root extract’s impact on stress and quality of life
Objective

To evaluate the effects of Shagandha (Ashwagandha) root extract on stress, anxiety, and quality of life in adults experiencing mild to moderate stress.

Methods Overview

Design– Randomized, double blind, Multicenter, placebo controlled.
Duration– 60days
Participants: 50 healthy adults with mild to moderate stress
Dosage: 500mg Shagandha root extract daily, standardized to 2.5% withanolides along with 5mg of BioPerine (Black pepper extract)
Assessments: Stress scales, Quality of life questionnaires and biochemical markers.

Result highlights
  • Participants taking Shagandha showed significant reduction in stress and anxiety scores.
  • Improvement in the quality of life was observed.
  • Biochemical analyses indicated improve levels of serotonin levels and reduced levels of stress-related markers like cortisol
